“Dru comes from the Sanskrit Dhruva, meaning “still point”. Dhruva is the name for the North star, which remains fixed, while all other stars appear to move around it. Our personal Dru point is the calm in the eye of the storm, the refuge we seek where we can be free from the stresses and strains of the modern world.”


Sia Kanellopoulos has been practicing yoga for more than 30 years. She has studied a variety of yoga traditions in both Australia and in India. She loves introducing clients to the stillness that can be experienced in Dru Yoga and Dru Meditation. In this stillness you are able to sit back from anything that may be happening around you, and see and act from a point of clarity and inner calm.
Sia is passionate about client wellbeing, and committed to sharing the Dru yoga experience of grace and flow along with tools for health, vitality and self-empowerment.

What to expect from your Dru Yoga Class:

⦁ A warm up sequence of activations to prepare your body

⦁ Energy Block Release sequences, to help you to release blocks of physical, emotional and mental energy

⦁ Specific Dru Yoga movements, postures and sequences with an emphasis on softness and flow, consciously directing your body’s natural healing response and supporting you to relate to the rhythm and flow of life

⦁ Relaxation work, throughout the class and at its conclusion, to ensure the energy that has been stimulated has an opportunity to settle and create inner harmony for you

⦁ Breath awareness and meditation, so you can achieve heightened awareness within different aspects of your being: grace and strength within your physical body, calmness in your emotional body, and clarity in your mental body. This results in a greater sense of peace, inside and out
