WHAT ABOUT GAS?
Having some gas is an indication of normal intestinal health & function. Excessive and painful; gas build up is not. The intestines can register discomfort from gas before pain from inflammation, adhesions or ulceration. It is best to pay attention to gas pain, understand the cause and then alleviate it properly.
Gas is usually caused by:
- Improper food combinations (no fruits or protein with complex carbohydrates)
- Drinking excessive amounts of fluid with meals that dilute digestive enzymes
- Fast, thoughtless eating without chewing
- Excessive fat and protein can retard digestion and lead to increased putrification and free radical levels.
- Lactose intolerance( Inability to break down dairy based sugars)
- Inability to break down complex sugars and starches.
- Allergies
- Not enough digestive secretions being produced from the liver. Gall bladder, pancreas stomach and small intestines.
- Too many pathogenic bacteria that feed on undigested food particles
- Accumulations of waste leading to constipation
- Stress
- Not enough exercise to tone the abdominal muscles , inhibiting circulation to the intestinal tract and digestive organs.
Suggestions to help reduce excessive gas:
- Take a series of Colon hydrotherapy sessions
- Massage the abdomen
- Prcatice deep breathing
- Exercise ( yoga, swimming, walking)
- Meditate (rest)
- Fast ( one of Gandhi’s dietary rules is to abstain from eating when in pain)
- Take a hot bath
- Use specific herbs and digestive enzymes & probotics
Supplement diet with rich minerals found in ocean and lake algae , also land grasses such as wheatgrass and barley.
